This is a recommendation from an old friend, who I haven't seen in nearly two years. It was about two years ago he told me to read Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs. I told him I'd look into it. And I did.
For the last couple of years, I'd see it at the book store. Maybe I'd hear it referenced. Or online here or there. I never really gave it much thought. That is until today. I came across it at the public library in the book on tape (which now should be called a book on CD... soon to be pod cast) section. I thought, "Hey... what the hell?" and checked it out.

However, after letting it play for five minutes, I didn't care. I was fully engulfed in his hilarious monologue. He is even self-aware of his nerdiness as he compares himself to Woody Allen. In part of the first chapter he associates himself with a class of intellectual nerds, who are, in reality, unattractive to women. Upon turning the case over and seeing his picture... I understood why he would compare himself to Woody Allen.
Anyway, from what I can tell... this is going to be a great read (or... technically... I guess, a great listen)! The book's premise is (according to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex,_Drugs_and_Cocoa_Puffs ) a collection of 18 comedic essays on pop culture. Chuck also writes for Esquire Magazine and Spin Magazine.
